Boudoir Photography Frequently Asked Questions
The thought of a boudoir session can be scary. When talking to women about their session, I get asked all kinds of questions. So I wanted to compile a list of my 12 most frequently asked questions to give you some insight on preparing for a boudoir photography session with me!
Do you share my images?
The number one priority in making sure my clients are comfortable is privacy! It can be a life changing experience, but that also makes it nerve wracking. Sometimes, you are learning to love your body and you aren’t quite ready to share the images with the world, or sometimes these images are specifically for your spouse and aren’t for anyone else eyes. These are all great reasons for not sharing your photos, and it all depends on your personal preferences! I have a multi level model release my clients can sign – only if they want to!
Do I have to wear lingerie?
You definitely do not have to specifically wear lingerie, it all depends on your personality! There are a BUNCh of other outfit ideas other than lacy little things! I send an awesome wardrobe to all clients who book a session.
Do you have payment plans?
Yes! I offer in house – interest free pre payments to all my clients! I book up to 12 months out so there is plenty of time to plan for your dream shoot and get everything you want! Click here to contact me and get more information.
Is hair and makeup included?
Hair and makeup is included in every boudoir session! I think it’s really important for you to look and feel your best and having a professional do this for you is one of the best ways to feel amazing! We can do any look that you are going for whether that be “full glam” or a more scaled back look. You can bring photos and ideas for inspiration and we create something you will love!
Do you photoshop my images?
Yes I do! I do full retouching on your images. Even if you have the most perfect skin on earth… it can still look splotchy on camera, so I do full color correction and smoothing. I can also fix little imperfections as well. I can not, however, make you lose 30 pounds by majorly modifying the body you have. And that is not what this experience is about anyways… we are learning to love ourselves. Most things we don’t like about ourselves can be corrected with awesome lighting, posing and angles 😉
Where should I buy my outfits?
There are tons of places to buy outfits from. It all depends on what type of outfit you are getting and the style of your shoot. Here is a list to choose from with different styles and sizing. Victoria’s Secret, Adoreme.com, Torrid, Aerie, Hip and Curves, and Bare Necessities. There are also a lot more places and I am happy to share more during the booking process!
What type of print products do you offer for boudoir photography?
I offer top of the line products to keep your images in! Every collection comes with a custom handmade album. I also offer metal prints, folio boxes, lose prints and so much more! I 1000% believe in printing your photos for you to enjoy forever as opposed to your images just living and dying on a screen.
Do you offer digitals?
While I firmly believe in the power of printed images… I am also a millennial and can’t imagine NOT having digital images… so yes, I definatly do 🙂 and I offer them not only on a personal online gallery, but also a mobile app as well!
I am freaking out!!! How can I calm my nerves?
I get it! Most women are nervous before coming in to the studio! It is part of the experience and very few people on earth wouldn’t be nervous. I promise, you will go from being nervous, to comfortable, to confident by the time you leave! every woman who walks out of my studio says it wasn’t at all like they had built it up in their head and always say that it was a great experience and not awkward at all.
How many outfits should I bring?
This depends on your package. The blush package comes with two outfits and a sheet set, but the most popular package, the Vixen, comes with 4 plus a sheet set… it all just depends. I always say bring more than less and I can look over everything and help you decide on final outfit choices based on your body type and what will photograph well.
Should I arrive early?
No please don’t. We have the entire day blocked out for you and you will have our full attention, but we will not be ready for you until your schedules time 😉
Where is your studio located?
I am located on the North Central side of San Antonio located near highway 281/1604. I am very honored that women travel all over from South Texas to visit me!
